Google Mesh Wifi speed

Hi Folks, So I have Eir Fibre at home but was getting issues with range on wifi. Got Google Mesh and set up 2 points, but the speed through Google Mesh Wifi is way slower than with the Eir Fibre Box. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this?

I got a google WiFi router and WiFi point as well, I have been having issues with the WiFi dropping on my PC. I'm with Digi-web. I also had a problem with speed but switching off the WiFi on the Digi-web router helped.
