I'm planning on extending my kitchen and am struggling to figure out what I need. I have a bulider who is doing the walls/windows etc. I want to get the bits of the kitchen that was alongside the back wall removed, and made into a new island unit.

And kitchen companies I've contacted will do complete kitchen remodelling, none want this "half a job". Am I better off looking for a company to design the island and then look for a carpenter to install it separately?
