Sorry for a tyre nct question.

I've my test in a few hours. Just noticed the mechanic put on an odd size wheel last week. Got 3 new ones at the time.

My front two are 195/50, one at the back is 195/50 but the other is 195/55. Will this be a fail or a fail dangerous??

I haven't time to bring it to get changed. I've a 195/50 spare in the boot but the thread is right at or possibly just below 1.6mm.

Thanks. Do you know if it's a fail dangerous or instead a regular fail?

Is tyre depth of 1.6mm a fail or fail dangerous?

Obviously I'll be replacing the tyre after but I'd rather get a regular fail than not be allowed to drive out of there!

Tyres fitted to the same axle are not of the same size, aspect ratio or type ‘(i.e. cross-ply, radial-ply, runflat, winter or summer)”
    This is a MaD

Major defects (MaD); defects that may prejudice the safety of the vehicle
Dangerous defects (DD); defects constituting a direct and immediate risk to road safety

    It's all in here:

I’d take the bald spare out of the boot for the test too.

    Did it pass?

Thanks for the help. It did pass but i changed the tyre back to the older one which got a pass advisory. Then brought it to the garage after who replaced the newer one properly.
