GTA V modder problem?

On GTA V i killed another player that turned to be a modder. He put up a message aimed at me “ time to say goodnight”. My game then crashed. Now evertime i restart the game after about 30 seconds i’m in a session my game keeps crashing. Coincidence or is he doing/done something to my game? It’s on a Alienware laptop.

Verify your game files I guess. Looking online I can't see any obvious fix but plenty of complaints regarding modders causing peoples games to crash.
