    We’re after getting approval for a new shed under Tams. We never put in for a pen of rubber slats. Can we put in for this pen and still claim back 60% of the cost of these slats??

    Don’t think so. You can only claim for what you inputted in the application

    Have you put in for the slats? You’ll get it for the slats if you did but not for the slat mats.

    Ya we have in for the slats but not the slat mats. Can apply again if we have too

    No point, slat mats are grant aided.

    No grant aid for mats at the minute. There is a bit of talk lately about the welfare of cattle on concrete slats so maybe in the future there will be a grant. I’d imagine they prefer to grant aid concrete and to a lesser extent sheds/steel because with concrete (especially) and steel work most of the money stays in the country where as the rubber probably comes from India and there is little labour involved in fitting them.
