    Hi All,

We pit down new floor and skirting all downstairs. Decided we are going to do some extension work downstairs and the floor will be ripped up. Do the skirting boards need to be removed in hall for example if fitting new laminate floor or can new flooring be run under existing skirting? I hooe this makes sense.

    Thank you

If it's the same depth floor and underlay you should be fine. If your changing it up. Then it may have to come off. Depending on tolerances.

Other options is to run up to it and put Scotia on to finish.

    There are ways and means

Probably easier to take it up, number each board. Remove the old floor and lay the new floor and reinstall the skirting boards.
