Remote problem

    The father had an old jvc tv. Separate thompson box to get the Irish channels. Any button pressed on the remote leads to a black screen with 100 in the top corner. Power and mute still work. Tv is stuck on virgin 1. Black 100 screen goes away when another button is pressed. Any ideas?

    Ya but it comes up on every button press. Looks a bit like an error code.
