Audi Connect on a second hand Audi

Audi connect requires a 10 digit code thats attached to the car's key when its sold. As I bought this car second hand, the code is long gone (in the UK). Has anyone ever got a replacement code? I thought there would be a facility on the audi web site where I enter the car's VIN code, and I could get 10 digit code, but it doesn't appear to be as simple as that.

I'd like to give Audi connect a go for a month or two. I know id just get bored with it after that, however I think I need to have Audi connect to update the maps on the satnav. The car has android auto, so I could just use google maps on my phone, but I find the UI on the car's sat nav better.

An Audi dealer can re-order the tag for you, they're expensive ish for a piece of plastic, around €20 iirc.

Thanks, from what I've been reading online looks like I have to go to a dealer alright. what a pain.

You need to nominate a dealer for Audi Commect anyway, in a case like yours, for proof of ownership etc.

    What car have you got?

It's useless anyway. I had to purchase a SIM card for mine to try it out but I found it to be a gimmick.
