ClearMobile SMS spam

I switched from Vodafone to ClearMobile last week. Since then I am recieving spam/phishing SMSs about once a day. Up from only a small handful a year when I was with Vodafone. Do Vodafone implement some level of SMS filtering that ClearMobile doesn't, or is this just a coincidence? Had anyone else had this experience?
