    Hello like-minded vintage cyclists.
What would be your usual circles in Ireland to trade higher end vintage bicycle parts? Perhaps I should narrow it down to 1960-2000. Do we have an actual shop in Ireland or is it all from private garages or import? Thanks for light on this matter, Thorsten

Hi Thorsten, there's a healthy interest in vintage bikes and parts, here in Ireland.

There are a few of us here that restore old bicycles, so it's always worth posting an advert here in the cycling adverts section.

Adverts.ie can be a bit hit-and-miss, with plenty of genuine buyers/sellers, but an awful lot of overpriced dreamers too!

Search online for Old Velos and you'll find a lot of people who are into vintage bikes also.

Brendan Hennessey from Old Velos is on here and he'd be well clued in on vintage bikes and frames.

Adverts is a mixed bag usually of someone that doesn't know what they have giving it away and others thinking they have rocking horse poo and pricing it as such.

Car boot sales used to be great spots for rummage but as with everything else, covid has made a ****e of that.

Posting an ad on here might get some interest as there are a few folks that restore bikes. 8valve being one I can think of.
