    I updated a laptop a few years ago to an ssd,
    Fantastic upgrade, but I find at thime the cpu would seem stuck at 100% and the fan blowing flat out.
    I would have to open task manager and it drops down cpu/fan for some strange reason.
    No idea what causes it, but if I go on say, Facebook or some other sites this kicks in and hogs .

    I was able to borrow one of those drive docking stations from work so just put the old & now drives into it & pressed the clone button.Worth checking if anyone you has one as they're fairly cheap bits of kit.
