uBlock Origin is always a good choice. Been my pick for years.

If you're interested in a home-wide adblocker and you are a bit technical then Pihole is a good solution

https://www.standsapp.org is my choice. very effective at ads and blocking off annoying elements on a page - gifs and suchlike.

You can use an ad blocker or use the Brave Browser. The browser blocks all ads by default.
For example - you can watch all YouTube videos without any ads.

Second the Brave Browser, I watch RTÉ, Channel 4 and ITV and never get ads. I said this in another thread and someone replied that it didn’t work for RTÉ, but for me it does but I use their Nightly build so that may make a difference.

I also make a few euro a month from opting into their own ads and receiving their BAT tokens which I pass onto content creators who no longer make money due to adblockers.

    Try this first

    https://someonewhocares.org/hosts/

Nothing to install and will block most stuff. Just remember to get updates every now and then.
