    Hi Guys,

I am trying to help out a friend.

His car is a 2001 Celica 1.9 model and he is looking at getting the brushes replaced on the alternator voltage regulator.

Is anybody familiar with these? Can he get new brushes that get soldered on or are the voltage regulators more of a sealed unit, in the the whole voltage regulator needs changing?

Any good places where I can get the exact part number for the alternator / regulator? I have been looking online without any great detail.

    Thanks in advance.

    Try this place...
    http://www.airportautoelectrics.com

Toyodiy.com will have the part number.

It'd be as handy to replace the voltage regulator, most places that supply these bits and bobs will want the Alternator make and part number off the alternator label before being happy to send out parts. Car make and model may not be sufficient.

A local auto spark would be as handy for this as DIY tbh
