Sony Winter Cachback

I'm claiming cashback on a camera I bought late last year. I bought from a store in Belfast, as the price was better than anywhere in the republic.

There is a cashback offer, which I am currently filling in.
It asks for a UK address, and then bank details with just account number and sort code, rather than an IBAN.

Has anyone else had this issue, and have any advice on how to deal with it?

I claimed on a Sony camera I bought from a store in Limerick in December. The money hasn't landed in my account yet, but I've got notification from Sony that the claim was successful.

Are you filling out the form on the Irish Sony Site? https://www.sony.ie/promo/cashback

That form asked me for an Irish address and Swift/BIC and IBAN.

Here's a list of the retailers covered by it: https://campaign.odw.sony-europe.com/redemption/dealers/IE_DI_Winter_Dealers.pdf

Many UK stores are listed on it. Is the store you bought it from on the list? If so, you should just be able to use the Irish form.

I was assuming as I bought it via the UK, that I'd have to register for cashback from the UK site.
Maybe I'll just try via the Irish website. I just wasn't sure if I'd get caught with an issue for buying in one country, and claiming in another.

There's also the extra €38 when you compare the cashback amounts in euro vs. sterling. :)

There's certainly no issue with claiming for a UK purchase thought the Irish form - the T&Cs clearly say it's allowed.
The Promotion only applies to the purchase of new products (i.e. not second hand, returned or
refurbished products) which have been supplied and distributed by Sony within the UK and
    Republic of Ireland.

The €38 difference between € and £ is another matter, though. Pity... :)
