PC Upgrade advice

    hi guys , looking to upgrade my pc that died a few weeks ago.
    1. What is your budget? 1000 can go higher

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming-cod warzone, bf5 type games
    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? yes- i can buy a win10 key on ebay?

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? case-Fractal design define r4 atx mid tower, powersupply- SuperFlower Amazon 550W 80+ bronze,cpu cooler-BeQuiet pure rock2

    5. Do you need a monitor? no, current LG 23" 1080p

    5a. If yes, what size do you need.
    Ill stick with current monitor for now but will be looking at 144HZ in future

    5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? edit:1920x1080 at 60hz, will try 144hz at 1440 sometime

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? no

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? maybe

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser] prob buy from amazon.de

    9. When are you purchasing? next week or two

    Drop to 16GB. Get a MSI B550-A Pro. Pick up a Crucial P2 or similar 1TB SSD for €100 or less. With all that money saved put it aside for a GPU upgrade (when the market settles). Spending more in the first three areas will not change your FPS or give you any better day-to-day experience. Faster SSDs will matter in several years but you'll need PCI-e 4.0 ones so cross that bridge when you get there. Anything over 500MB/s is overkill these days.

    There is an argument that you could spend it on a 5600x but I'd probably hold off until better value comes along.

    550w is just fine for either build but I'd consider a higher quality psu in the future. How old is that PSU?

    I'd look at the airflow in the case as well. Take out the drive cages and perhaps pick up some PWM fans.
