Leaking expansion tank on digger

    Hi,.

    I Replaced the expansion tank on my digger as the rubber seal on top had worn. Now the coolant seems to go while I work the digger. Tank empties.this never happened before. Pics attached.

    The expansion tank is only a tank that is vented and not under pressure as cap is a clip on fit.Other things i would be checking is if you can see coolant under vehicle if left.Strange colour as cars are usually red or green coolant.
    Items that give leaks rad will show mould which is a leak that dried,water pump leaking down , internal head gasket if overheated any water guage and usually pushes water out of bottle and rubber hoses expanding.

    Did you also check coolant in rad when cold.?
