    Hello All,

I am looking for pros and cons on the latest RAV4. If you have it can you please share your views so far on this car.
Currently, they only have 2.5L Hybrid Petrol.

    1. What's the ride like?

    2. What mileage do you get in city and highway?

    3. Any issues leading to frequent visit to the dealer? Service cost?

    4. What's their warranty like? And in case of issue with the car, do they provide a replacement car?

Any comments will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Any update if RAV4 plug in hybrid will be available in Ireland soon?

I assumed you would have Mercedes glb ordered by now. Have you gone off it?
The rav 4, while a grand car is a far from premium experience. Plasticky interior and I don’t think you can call it good looking. The cvt gearbox isn’t great but as a car to cruise in I believe they’re relatively comfortable and economical. The plug in hasn’t gotten a price for Ireland yet I don’t think.

The Hyundai Tucson is the king of the SUVs now. Classy, stylish, well built, well equipped and good to drive. What more could you want?

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Something that every second household in suburbia won't have!

The GLB is plasticky from inside, I tried GLC which is premium but with all the gizmos GLC is getting out of budget. That's why looking at Rav4 Platinum instead. Of course its not decided yet and will test drive it this week. Rav4 seems to be economical on long run.

Excellent vehicle. Very popular and will hold its value very well. Hybrid auto is very much in vogue now too. I think they’re a great buy

Well I imagine the Rav would be a fine buy. Cheap to run and probably excellent resale.
Not exciting and I don't think it will feel premium regardless of equipment. The gearbox is a cvt which is not great when pushing on.
The Volvo xc60 is a car I would look at.

I just checked the 2021 Tucson and it looks premium from inside. Any issues with it?

I checked XC60 and with the all the gizmos it's costing over 63k.
Max budget at the moment is 50k.

Do they provide a replacement car would be somewhere around question 178 if I was buying a new car.

The current rav4 does not have a plasticky interior, it's a very decent interior, not Audi level but it's way above the previous model. I was looking at one last year and every review was positive about the interior, and I found it pretty good myself when test driving it.

Have the 2.5L Hybrid Petrol AWD-i Sport spec.

I like it, nippy enough response with the electric motor, feels solid like a tank in wet stormy weather on windy country roads compared to our Kona. I find it quite comfortable.

7.0L/100km mileage combined short and long trips, hills and bad weather.

Haven't had a single issue yet (less than a year old).

3 year/100,000 km, any time I've had a Toyota before I've gotten a replacement car.

I think the Hybrid RAV 4 will do about 40 mpg (7l/100 km). This is the same fuel economy as a diesel RAV had previously. For the suburban driver it will be popular but it will no longer attract the person that is looking for a vehicle to tow something. I was a bit surprised by the fuel economy it was less than I expected when I checked.

    Thanks so much.

Maybe not before but the new Tucson moves the game on. Hyundai want to be the new VW. The car that everyone wants and is semi premium.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Lol, that sounds like a cheesy marketing line you would hear on an episode of The Apprentice.
