It's always hard to take it too literally when that horse won so well. But 9/2 is probably fair.

Give me a Copper each way for me.

Dunno why Floressa isn't clear fav in the mares hurdle at Doncaster, beat Marie's Rock by over 12l 2 runs ago off levels yet only has to give her 2lbs this time. Ran with credit last time in the Christmas Hurdle and NDB switches to her from Marie's Rock.

I loved the Trials Day at Cheltenham, raging its off! I couldn't be arsed with Donny and Lingers. Dublin Racing Festival next week - I'd dry out the track with a sponge to make sure its on :D

The price holding up and even drifting as it has is a big concern, but if he runs anywhere near what he ran to in Kempton it should be more than enough.

GL today all, and dont loose the Cheltenham rolls!

    On a slow day

TQ VIEW 'Best Bet': 2.55 Lingfield: PIRATE KING - Won this race 12 months ago and this Charlie Fellowes 6 year-old looks to have a big chance of defending his title. Ran a bit below-par here last weekend, but that was a hotter race and with this being a slight ease in grade that should make all the difference.

TQ VIEW 'Each-Way': 3.50 Doncaster: AGAMEMMON (e/w) - This Henry Oliver runner is back in grade and has also been dropped 3lbs from his last win so looks to have a much better chance today. Handles soft ground okay and has won over further, which will help in conditions. Paddy Brennan booked to ride - he's won on the horse over fences too!

Backward type of filly who ran ok in two starts last year. Will likely do better in handicaps and probably wants further. Galloped round here well last weekHenry Oliver

Up 4lbs for his recent win at Leicester so more needed but is well after another small break. Trip and ground hold no issues and should run his race again, but would probably need a career-best off this mark so it remains to be seen if he can find some improvement at the age of 11. The unexposed Sunset West looks the one to beat. Gay Kelleway

Down the field on debut at Leicester on the turf last October. We've taken our time with her since and having AW debut here today. Step up in trip here will help and didn't really enjoy the heavy ground the last day. Will gain more experience here though and one step nearer to getting a handicap mark.Julia Feilden

Is having her third run so will then have a handicap mark - she had a wind operation since last run and will be worth following when running in a handicap.

Tough race with some useful stayers in, but should find this a bit easier than last time. That said, this is still a competitive contest and we are still a few pounds higher than last win. Stays this 2m trip well though and seems in good order at home so must have small e/w claims, but is a tough race.Charlie Fellowes

I was disappointed with Pirate king last week but that was a hot race and possibly not run to suit. This looks weaker and providing he has got over that run, he should take a bit of beating this afternoon in a race he also won last year!

Golden Force continues to improve as I have worked out what his ideal conditions are. A sharp mile really plays to his strengths and that is what we have got today. Decent field but should have a good chance.

Did well at the end of 2019 but as a result shot up the ratings and has struggled a bit since. Is coming back down and is now only a pound higher than last winning mark. Acts well on the soft and stays a bit further than this 3m trip, which will help in the conditions. Paddy Brennan takes over in the saddle, but has won on him in the past too. Open race, each-way chance.Jamie Snowden

Is a nicely-bred individual, who ran well enough to be fourth on her racecourse debut in November. She looked a bit green that day, but stayed on well. She should have improved for that though, but this looks a competitive race so a placed effort would be great and go from there.

Love the bookies using these 2 bit races to slash prices.

Lets see what price paddy put him on now.

Couldn't believe the price, should have been a 1/10 shot. They'll close my account now but worth it #value

In my head there are only 3 maybe 4 horses that could give him a race.

    Franco De Port
    Sea The Stars
    Borderlescott on steroids.

Has anyone got any better suggestions?

Can't see the Mullins horse getting near him at Cheltenham.

What is the story with the McManus horse that won the beginners chase handy at Tipperary at the start of the season? Is it going?

I'll be against Shiskin in March. I could see his jumping letting him down. Nico couldn't be more complimentary regarding him but his jumping early on today I think will have him playing catch up against Allmankind.

They need more Sally Ann on there. She is great stuff and she has genuine enthusiasm for the game.

Cumani is pleasing on the eye, but she is kind of thrown in there and I don't think she really is that fussed about the jumpers?

I love Luke Harvey, top man. Took the bollocking off Liz Hurley in his stride:pac:

I have a nice docket on Allmankind but I think you might be clustching at straws there, his jumping get better and better as the race went on and they probably werent going fast enough for him early, which is scary because they werent crawling.

Not a fan of backing any novice at odds against but I certaily dont think it will be his jumping that lets him down. It's funny because I actually thought that Allmankind was very similar in Sandown, jumped slightly left in the early part of the race and jumped much better in the second half of the race.

There is also something about Sandown, whether it is the fences themselves or the camera positioning but a decent round of jumping in Sandown always looks visibly better compared to other courses.

That 7/2 for the Arkle is looking tasty.

You would have to think that Ben Case might have found a handier race than this? 8/1 seems fair enough?

Agreed. Think Shishkins jumping will get better the faster they go.

Think Energumene has a better chance of winning the Arkle but would run a better performance in the Marsh. Pretty unfortunate he's to pick going up against two absolute yokes.

Cotswold Chase moved to Sandown this Saturday and the Cleeve Hurdle moved to Wetherby Saturday. Be very interesting to see who holds their entries, I assume both will also be re-opened for new entries.
