    What is the simplest way to invest a lump sum on this ? Has it to be by way of an ETF only ?

    i dont know what other way might you invest in it ?

    just buy an ETF which tracks the S+P , it always outperforms europe and europe makes up the second largest percentage of the world etf

    There is an ishares Core MSCI World, it would be literally the easiest and cheapest way to invest tracking that index.

    If only by ETF is investing ones pension pot then by way of ETF ?
