Any opinions on these sprays for cleaning a EGR valve as opposed to actually removing it? It's not blocked or anything but thinking of OCD preventative maintenance!

If it's not very dirty it's probably fine

I took the EGR off my Accord mk7 2.2 to clean it, It was blocked to about 1/4 of the original diameter, and took about 3 hrs of scraping with a piece of windscreen wiper metal shaped into a hook to return to what I would consider a functional state.
I very much doubt any over the counter spray would do much else than produce soot laden fluid it certainly wouldn't have removed the sticky soot that was well stuck to the inside of the manifold.
I don't know your setup but for me physical removal and manual cleaning is the only way I could see that would work.
There is a crowd in Cork doing that as well as DPF cleaning which I would consider if I was to do it again.
