    Hi all,

Hopefully someone has a quick trick or easy fix for the below issue:

Kitchen tap has hot water but no cold water.

All other taps in the apartment have both hot and cold working as normal.

Does anybody know what this can be? Thank you :D

Look under the sink and see if there's a tap to cut off the cold feed. The cold tap in the kitchen is supposed to be fed from the main, rather than the tank. So the problem is probably with the feed from the main.

Firstly take a quick look on water.ie and see if there's an outage in your area before doing anything.

If there is it will only affect the cold tap in the kitchen as usually this is the only tap fed directly from the mains, all the other cold taps will be fed from the storage tank, and the hot taps indirectly too.

Thank you!! It was the main inflow pipe!

There was nothing on water.ie for my area but two areas around me had major issues.

I did take the sink apart and unclogged a bit of the cold water pipe etc and after putting it back together the tap worked...
a few minutes later the water storage tank went absolutely crazy. It sounded like a waterfall. It was the mains filling it up so the only conclusion is that the mains were off and was outside my control.

    Thanks everyone!! Really appreciate it.
