    Hi all.

To the mechanics out there, or anyone that has owned the 2.5l diesel Boxer...'99 in particular...are there any known issues to look out for?
I'm looking at buying a van with my girlfriend that has been converted to a camper and I'm wondering what engine, mechanical and body problems to be wary of.
It has new shocks, bearings, wishbones, tyres etc. and more, and recently passed the CVRT.
It has 175,000miles on the clock and he's looking for around €10k.
The interior looks good and the underfloor has been schutzed. We're a little nervous about a few things like the rust on the pillars and possible damp in the shower.

    Can you offer any advice?
    Much thanks in advance.

Walk, no run. €10k you need to get your marbles counted up.

Do you reckon I'd be ok if we got him down to 6 or 7k? It had two owners in its life, including this fella selling it. My girlfriend and I have pointed out a few areas where we'd need to spend money fixing anything that needs doing and on getting it the way we want, so we'll be talking him down from 10k. It was converted professionally, apparently, looks nice inside but peeling paint on the body. What would you look out for, what would you pay?

Thanks for your time btw, much appreciated!
