Hi I'm buying a new home. My solicitor has been trying to get details on the indemnity insurance of the contractors design company. Each time they have asked its just been declined with no reason. Its a large development and contractor has multiple sites throughout the country.
Is this a normal procedure from my solicitor and if so why would the contractors solicitors be holding out.

All the design professionals involved will need to hold indemnity cover. Im sure it will turn up - posibly an outstanding invoice issue between certifying engineers and contractors

Hi so its a legal requirement for them to have it?
So there would be no need to delay contract signing before actually seeing it?
