Foxy shenanigans?

I was in the fields at the back of the house today when I came across a circle of fox fur and a little pile of poo.
It looks like groomed fur but there's rather a lot of it. Would anybody know what's been going on here; is it grooming, fighting or other foxy shenanigans? We hear foxes around the house nearly every night and we also see hunters so I'm hoping it's not natural and not foul play?

I'm not certain, but that looks a bit like regurgitated fur. I could be wrong.

Foxes are clicketting at this time of year so fur maybe the result of a bit of a scuffle between suitors.....

i was up late last night watching a movie, and was disturbed by some squealing/screeching outside - there were four foxes in my next door neighbour's front garden (am in the suburbs on the northside in dublin); wasn't sure whether it was clicketting (a new word for me!) or a territorial dispute or a vixen being harassed by suitors.
