    Looking for advice:

Starting a new job soon, contract signed and ready to go. However, I’m seriously sick of these restrictions and the lack of an effective government strategy.

I have an Australian passport and could get a flight over for around €1,400 and then would have to spend roughly €1,800 for the two weeks mandatory quarantine.

What would you do? Are there any potential legal problems if I was to refuse the job and head abroad? Any advice appreciated.

Go! If I had a passport of somewhere like that I'd be long gone. As long as you have the funds to set yourself up.

What you should definitely do is take the advice of random strangers on the internet on life changing decisions

Good luck with actually getting on a flight in the next few months at that price
