looking at installing a stove in a room with no chimney, thinking of putting this in the corner, where the 2 walls meet and installing in corner here at an angle

would put the FLU out gable wall, is this possible or would this be a big job?

    any advise welcome

Definitely possible. Requires steel flu outside, attached to external wall.

The challenges in the job are sealing the wall where flu exits and ensuring the flu clears the roof in such a way that you never get down draft. This is usually achieved by going above the ridge of the roof, but not always possible if flu is on the wall at the eve.

If the stove is gas it is possible to use a balanced flue, the same as a gas boiler. This just requires a hole in the wall.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

Did something similar last year but not in corner. It was actually on an internal wall where double doors linked a living room and sitting room. So blocked up the door ope and provided inset solid fuel stove with concealed flue behind new stud partition. Flue came out of top of stove and then at 45 degrees to get to outside wall (all hidden). External ss flue went up above eaves (2 storey house). Obviously lost circa 450mm of sitting room floor space to facilitate flue and stove. All in cost was 4k (Stove 1400, Flue 1400, labour and all other materials 1200). Not cheap but we got the one guy to do all and were delighted with end result.
