I know it's way to early to be even mentioning reseeds but was looking on the Cotswolds site today and they aren't delivering to ROI or NI at the moment.
Are there any other suppliers out there that do a similar mix to the long lasting upland dual purpose?
Have 5 acres earmarked for a bit of rejuvenation if the weather allows

Not sure about the specifics but worth checking Goldcrop and DLF

My plan was to go with half the field in Germinals diamond red and the other half with something different. Preferably non-PRG as an experiment for myself. Cotswolds are the only ones I can find doing a PRG free mix. My neighbour has it with a number of years and is extremely happy with it. Reckons it's doing as well if not better than PRG with minimal inputs. He is lightly stocked and on rotational grazing which I was planning on migrating to myself. Mostly fescues and Timothy in the mix AFAIK

Never heard of PRG free but it's worth looking into I guess. By eliminating it altogether the other lower growth species can come through. Id be all for white clover and plantain, never looked into fescues.
Will you be dividing the field into the two halves or grazing them the same?

Will be grazing in sections for 2 or max 3 days at a time and leaving it grow for as long as possible afterwards. Field will only be divided by polywire so will really still be one field. Looking to go low input so will be looking to mix in 3 or possibly 4 types of clover. Plaintain wont be necessary as drought will never be a problem and I doubt it will grow well on heavy ground. If I thought a herb mix would establish I will add to the mix but hoping the seed supplier might have advice on that. It's the longevity of the other grass types that are appealing to me as would be hoping this would be a once off for me and would have a decent sward off the back of a single reseed.

Problem is they all seem to be specialising in PRG without having too many other options.
Fruithill farm in Bantry seems to be the only ones with a bit of variety so going to talk to them tomorrow hopefully.

Sinclair McGill were always into the different type of grass.
They're working some way with Dlf so there's them too.
