    Looking at this
    https://www.photospecialist.ie/canon-eos-6d-mark-ii-body

its selling at 1,350, down from 2,100 so any reason?

The FF is the key determinant but I want the video also.

Coming from a EOS Rebel xTi with the following lenses

    50mm.......1:1.8 II
    EF 16-35 1:2.8 L II USM
    EF 28-80 1:3.5-5.6
EFS 18-55 I think this came with it.

Will these lenses work for making videos which will mainly be made for posting technical instruction on websites.

Does not seem to allow a mic to be plugged in which could be a problem

    Thanks as always. :)

    Anything else occur

Could be Canon are pushing the EOS R series and reducing the 6D Mk II prices.

You can't use EF-S lenses on the 6D or any Canon FF camera. All the other should be fine.

    Thanks for this.
Any thoughts on this, body only, with adaptor

Canon EOS RP with adaptor a better option definitely then 6d MK2.
Not sure if EF-S lenses can be used with adaptor, might fit the adaptor however vignetting might occur.

The RP is mirrorless and it can use EF-S lenses but you will get a vignette. With 6D and other Canon FF DSLRs (5D), an EF-S lens can obstruct and potentially damage the mirror but RP does not have a mirror plus the adaptor pushes the lens further out.
The RP, being mirrorless, has an electronic viewfinder. This is one of the biggest differences between a mirrorless and a DSLR. The RP has a low res viewfinder than the EOS R. Just be cautious.

I went with the RP as there was limited availability, paid for it yesterday, it arrived now so thanks to all of you.
    Much appreciated

    Am a bit puzzled

Just getting around to trying different lenses in this camera

    I have these

    50mm.......1:1.8 II

    EF 16-35 1:2.8 L II USM

    EF 28-80 1:3.5-5.6

The last one is the only one that fits the body :(

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks as always

Any RF lens should fit the camera, as should any EF or EF-S using the EF/RF adapter.

The first two are better lenses. I don't know what you're doing wrong.
