    Hi!

Any suggestion on what treatment to go for. I know at least one tooth needs work. But I don't know if I need a filling or root canal.

And how many of my teeth need treatment?

As well as any thought on my bone line. The dentist told me I am on my way to periodontal disease. I am in my mid 20's.

    Thank you!

Twice I was advised to have a root canal, both times I opted for a filling. I was skint both times otherwise I prolly would have gone for the root canal.

4 and 9 years later I still have both teeth when both times I was told the teeth wouldn't last more than 6 months with the fillings and I'd therefore loose the teeth altogether.

1000 times I have recommended a root canal and the patient opted for a filling, they had episodes of severe pain and infection and lost the teeth.

Guess I should count myself lucky then.

Then again I have upped my oral hygiene since the first one. The second one happened because a 20 year old filling broke off so wasn't due to bad hygiene.

I swear by hydrogen peroxide and other days salt mouthwashes. And pay particular attention when flossing those two dodgy ones.
