Upgrade internals tower shower

Evening, We have a tall shower tower but the water pressure from it is poor We have a pumped system and pressure elsewhere is good. It has always been thus.a mate said that it likely came from China and the internal pipes wouldn't be big enough to allow good water flow Has anyone come across similar? Am thinking to take it…

Has anyone come across similar? Am thinking to take it down and "re-plumb" it but it's not a small job and would like some advice
