JSA Means reassessment

I started work on a temporary basis over Christmas and had been working decent hours up until a week or two ago (lockdown and all that). My payment was suspended when I started working, but it has resumed now that I'm working on a casual basis. The issue is, my means assessment seems to have been based on myself and my partners working schedule when I first started the job and we both had decent hours pre-Christmas, meaning it's not reflective of our current means. As it is, I'd be receiving less each week total than I was before I started working.

So my question is, should I follow up through the official appeals process, or just contact my local office and ask about being reassessed on our current means? As a follow up, would my payment be suspended while my case is reassessed?

    Cheers!
