Eir turn down internet speed when bill overdue

Anyone else notice that Eir turn down your internet speed when a bill is overdue, even if by only a few hours. Cant wait on the line for 30mins for them to update my direct debit.. webpage wont work either Seems a little petty.... And then it takes days to speed to regulate back again.
