Can you join the DF with previous mental health issues?

When I was an early teen, I had some anxiety issues related to some unfortunate personal events in my life. I underwent some CBT, and was given some SSRI's for a short period. Since then my anxiety has resolved and I'm mentally fine.

I was wondering if it was even possible for someone with a previous mental illness to join the DF? I have heard from some that they are fairly strict on it. Would I just be denied right out the gate?

Have a chat with your GP or psychologist or whoever and see what they think first. They might have some advice for going forward.
