Entry level tablet this week?

I'm looking for 2x entry level tablets in the line of Lenovo Tab M10, Galaxy Tab A8 or similar. This is for homeschooling and I'd love to get them this week if possible. Anyone know an Irish company with something like that here (so as to avoid shipping delays)?

Amazon Fire HD 8 in Argos for approx 100 is a good option. You can get them cheaper at various times of the year, but no good to you if you need them this week.

My kids use these for homeschooling

wouldn't recommend picking up anything under 3gb ram or else it will be fairly useless after a couple of years

The Samsung Tab A7 2020 is a decent tablet overall - around 250 in Ireland

it costs a bit more but will also be useful for a lot longer

I'm not an apple fan myself but the best value (not the cheapest) is the base model ipad 10.2 inch as the cpu in it is powerful

350 euro in Ireland

would be good for 7/8 years

Might be too dear as your buying 2,but sister got this for the exact same reason and got it delivered within 3 days.She moved up from 8" Amazon fire and says it's much better than it and a 10" screen is just a nicer experience for her child.But at twice the price of a 8" fire tablet it's not cheap

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone, much appreciated.

They're for two 5 year olds. They will be running SeeSaw homeschooling app. 3GB is a stretch for the budget, so went with the Lenovo M10 2GB/16GB.

If they needs upgrading in a couple of years that's ok - I'll be delighted if at that stage they're still in the same number of pieces they arrrived in

We're using a Huawei Mediapad T5 for home schooling and it's been great so far running multiple apps with ease e.g. class dojo, ixl, zoom, youtube, etc. with good battery life a good size screen.

just watch out on some recent Huawei android tablets that it's not possible to get the play store on them

there used to be workarounds but some of the more recent model have it locked down and it's not possible

I think that the t5 is an older model so should be ok

the big brands (samsung, lenovo etc) don't do that as many tablets that take sim cards at the budget end

there are small-brand Chinese options but more of a risk there
look out for lower res screens, build quality not great etc

We have a 4g sim in the MediaPad T5 - good job.

The version we have had the play store already loaded so we avoided the recent Huawei access issues.
