Help with Powerline adapters and router

    Hi guys,

So I have a problem. The modem I have was not giving enough range throughout the house so I got two Powerline adapters. I had an old modem and plugged one adapter into the modem and the other into the modem further down the house and worked great and gave me the range I wanted.

So I decided to get another adapter for my computer and have it as a direct Ethernet connection but I think it is connecting to the old router and not the modem, as it says no dsl connection when I use the Ethernet connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Turn off DHCP on the old modem.
