No so much distillery but JJ Corry is a great bonder back west

Yeah we don't have a distillery yet. Just the aforementioned whiskey bonder.

A very quick Google search for "Clare distillery" reveals Burren Distillery in Ballyvaughan

"Burren Distillers crafts single estate premium Irish whiskey from the finest locally sourced resources in Ballyvaughan, County Clare, Ireland."

Another fairly recent venture, not sure how they're getting on as you don't hear so much about them:

It takes 5 or 6 years to really get a whiskey ready for market. That's why they often do gin or poitin for a few years at the start.

From North Clare myself and I hadn't seen or heard of the Ballyvaughan distillery. Interesting stuff.

They were previously making Loudons Beers but I think they decided to stop that to focus on the Whiskey instead

Ah interesting. I drank a fair bit of Loudons in McHughs bar it was really tasty. There doesn't seem to be much of a market for craft lager/pils in Ireland which is a shame. I much prefer it to the IPAs seem to dominate.

I think they might be based in Feakle in East Clare...

    You're mixing up the two.

    Burren Distillers is in Ballyvaughan

Glendree Distillery (formally Loudon's brewery) is in Feakle
