Battery or alternator?

I'm getting a check battery warning on my 07 Civic. After I drive for a minute or two all sorts of other warnings start showing up and I start losing the power steering. Not sure of the age of the battery but it's at least 18 months old as that's how long I've had the car. Does this sound like a battery problem or alternator? I'm hoping for the former!

It could be either. Bring it to a garage. A simple circuit tester check that takes less than a minute will let them know

It's a very simple case of the chicken & the egg.
