Was the clock spring new or used. Are you sure it was centred correctly before installing it.

It was a used clock spring, and was installed correctly

No idea if related but I recently got an airbag recall notice from them.

Are you sure the used part is good?

You can generally buy new parts for €10 or €20 on ebay.

Probably not an issue on a Lexus but I've seen diagnostics say drivers side and passenger side and it is the opposite side as most cars are LHD.
