MagnaClean & Spirovent Rv2 Deaerator

As part of doing a self installed upgrade on my heating system I will be installing both a MagnaClean filter and a Spirovent Rv2 Deaerator on the flow from my OFCH boiler.

I know the MagnaClean should be on the return and I've spoken to Adey about this and they have said I can install it on the flow but it won't offer full protection to the boiler itself. Happy with that as (1) I have no space on the return pipework to install it, my return elbows up from the ground straight into the circulating pump and straight into the boiler... zero free pipe to install anything (2) The boiler is really old (20 years) so I'm not worried about blocking the heat exchangers up or anything. I'm moving this year so I imagine whoever buys the house will be upgrading to a combi or condenser.

My question is... I've lots of free space/22mm pipe on the flow so I was considering installing 2 * 22mm lever ball isolation valves, one either side of the Spirovent & MagnaClean purely so I can easily isolate the flow to remove both devices and replace with a straight piece of 22mm copper when I move :)

My issue is when I look inside the isolation valves the flow seems restricted... it looks like only half the width of the 22mm when the steel ball is open to allow flow. Will this have an impact on the flow around my heating circuit?

When you read my reply in your other thread you may well decide just to fix your air ingress problem.
If you do decide to install the above, you can purchase full bore ball valves or simple gate valves will give unrestricted flow.
