A lot of popular culture from tv shows to movies to music has seen a comeback in last decade and a half in some form or another. But there's now thiis whole new dimension that has emerged due to technological and social advances that would make cultural hits from even the 2000s seem somewhat outdated.

If you could reprieve something that was popular in its heyday and that could be reimagined somewhat for a modern audience, what would that be?

Gladiator fights in an arena. Given modern trauma medicine I'm sure they would be a lot less deadly although that may dampen their appeal in some parts of America these days.

Gladiators were usually poor, hence the whole fight to the death carryon. Given the tiered level of healthcare in America I'd say it would still prove highly popular, plus society has possibly got dummer than then, just this time they have smartphones.
