    Hi all

So I'm setting in the drainage gully and pipes to soakaways from rainwater downpipes tomorrow and ive the following problem

The Square hopper won't fit into the back inlet gully. They were delivered today and I'm 99%sure they are the correct fittings but it won't fit.

Would it be normal that I have to chamfer the edge myself and force it in as there is probably 2/3 mm around the edge to reduce.

I would send a pic to explain better but I can't seem to do that either 🀔😂

    Thanks for your time

I had this same problem, there were spacers around the square grate that I was able grind down and it fit.

Thanks Evd ,not sure about the spacers. I've attached a picture of the parts, would it be normal to have to pear down the male and female to slot in.

Theres no chamfer on the male which seems strange to me, maybe I'm missing something

Pipe grease and a file so far and no go but Ill try angle grinder in morning and will probably work, but it seems a bit mad to me that I'll have to do it for 12 fittings and they are not manufactured to fit

Both are female! A small piece of pipe required between the trap and the gully grating!
