HMRC VAT registration after Brexit

I'm wondering where I stand and I guess there are a few others in the same boat. I write software as a contractor for a UK company but I'm not based there. I send them a monthly invoice through my (EU) limited company. Previously I was able to handle VAT with the EU reverse VAT system but that's no longer an option. This guide seems to suggest I'll need to register for VAT with HMRC but I'm not well versed in tax matters and I'm wondering if I've missed anything. Do I need to register?

You should not need to register assuming the business you're supplying is a UK VAT registered business. Place of supply would be the UK for your services and the accountable person would be the business in receipt of services.

This essentially mirrors the pre-Brexit rules, except now you don't need to include any special wording on your invoice around reverse charge applying.
