Air tightness contractor / tradesman

    Hi All

In short I'm looking for a contractor / tradesman located in or near Dublin who is "passionate" (saw this term used on another post in the forum) about an air tightness in existing homes.

I live in a bog standard 4-bed semi-detached house in Dublin that was built in 1997. I had an air tightness survey done just over 12 months ago, and the main conclusion was to improve the air tightness of the house, primarily at the joints between floors and walls. I am currently in the process of speaking to contractors about getting my attic converted, and ideally would like to get a contractor who is good at both attic conversions and air tightness related work.

In time, when the rest of the house needs to be redecorated, I would like to get as many as possible of the leakage points, identified in the survey, sealed from an air tightness perspective. Again, I would like to speak to a tradesman/contractor who could help with this.

    Does anyone here have recommendations?

so will be 3 three storey so onerous fire regs.
reno a/t work is pricey as it takes time and patience and most builders don't like it.

Will you attic look like the attached, if so a nightmare to get right, even from new, not to mind in a reno

I appreciate that its not an easy job, and impossible to make an existing house fully air tight - my aim is to simply improve the air tightness as much as possible without the need for significant alterations etc.

My plan is to break the work into two phases: 1) convert attic and have it as air tight as possible; 2) in a further year or two, improve the air tightness of the rest of the house.

The purpose of my post is to get in contact with contractors / tradesmen who are experience in air tightness, who are not easy to track down it appears.

PS: Forgot to mention that I also intend to get an MEV system installed at the same time as converting the attic.
