Nct disc extention issue

Hi, as you may know they extended all nct's for 4 months. My car nct due date was 10/02/2021 and I have received an email that says it is valid now until 10/06/2021. But they let me know that they are not going to issue a new disc. I will have my test in March. So do you know will testers accept the car as it is? I am asking because one of my friend's test was cancelled last week as he did not have a tax disc. He told me that, he paid 6 months tax on 23rd of December and did not receive it until the test date which is 6th of January. He said he showed payment of tax and payment document from revenue. However they did not let him to have the test.

Testers are aware of the NCT extensions and should still accept the car for the test.
This is different to the situation your friend was in as the requirement to have an in-date tax disc on display has not changed during the pandemic. For the NCT though they are not issuing new discs & testers are aware of the extensions, so it should not be an issue.
