Where to buy 12u rack

Hi all,

Hope this is the correct forum, if not then mods please move.

I'm looking for the best value place to purhase a 12u 19" rack to purchase for a home network setup.

Amazon not really a runner atm and ideally i'd like to buy it from Ireland, i don't mind paying a little extra to buy from Ireland but don't wanna be ripped off also.

Any suggestions?

Was looking at a few items on CableMonkey (good website) and also thinking of a 12U 19" rack.

Similar dimension rack on EuroDK for €70.23. Granted items are shipping from Latvia so you'd have to factor in about €25 shipping if only getting that one item.

Shallower racks are cheaper and while I'd prefer a floor standing cabinet they're significantly more expensive and superfluous to my needs as will be just hidden away in attic.

Reason I started looking at EuroDK is that I was interested in a Ubiquiti Switch and access points for which they're cheaper than directly from Ubiquiti themselves.

If you do get the 12U rack from CableMonkey let us know your thoughts on the quality.

Thanks for the post, going to be mounting the same unifi equipment myself along with a UPS and PDU etc. only issue apears now is will my attic opening be wide enough, might be looking at 9u now also.

Either that or i need one that doesn't come assembled.

If it's hidden away and for personal use, then I would just buy the rails for 15 euro and build the frame from wood. Screw the lot into the A-frame of the roof. :D

I fitted the 9u rack in the last week or so. That one to be exact. Had to move the rails to fit a udm pro and a 16port ubiquiti switch. That’s usually to be expected to have to adjust rails.

Re fitting into attic opening. It just fitted for me with a attic stairs, assume they are a standard size.

The only negative I’d have on the cabinet is there isn’t a button to release the handle on the front meaning the door can only be closed with the key. Comes with lug nuts too.
