App to record treadmill workout

Hi All,
I'm hoping someone here can help me.
I recently bought a treadmill, I'm trying to stay motivated to use it and keep focused so I was thinking of signing up to some virtual fun runs. There is one in particular I want to do in mid February but you need to send in proof of times. I intend to do it all on the treadmill so I'm looking for apps that will record my walk.

If you want more accuracy then you might need a foot-pod.

If you want to enter the world of virtual running then Zwift is the best at the moment.

If you just want to track your activity, then you can use the app that comes with device you buy or something like Strava (https://www.strava.com). Garmin probably the best watches IMO, but most will do what you're looking to do ...
