You might struggle to get someone to fit them, most prefair sourcing their own parts.

For front and back discs and pads maybe €120 to €150 in labour.

Can’t see a dealership offering great value to fit parts sourced by a customer.

Best bet is an independent mechanic, ball park figure of €100 labour?

My mechanic replaced my 08 avensis 2.0 d4d rear brake pads and discs and also anti roll bars for around €150 if I remember correctly

It's a how long is a piece of string question, different garages/mechanics charge different rates of labour. Joe working from his shed should be in theory charging less than an independent garage with higher overheads.

Ring three local mechanics, go with whoever is cheapest.

Good having a rough idea of what to expect, i know all garages have different rates.

I'd be surprised if a mechanic was happy with a customer supplying an important component such as brake pads.
Can the mechanic be sure that they're the correct pad?
What happens if there's an incident afterwards?

If the pads are brand new in box I'd say it's not a major concern for mechanic. Pads are pads.
Discs are same. As long as they are in new in box it's not a biggie.

The mech might not like the brand but unless it's some Chinese unknown brand I don't think they'll object.

Do you have any friends that are handy with spanners and have the few basic tools to do the job?

Pads and discs are super handy to do.

I would say around 1.5 hours labour would be fair for rear discs and pads on that car.

So maybe somewhere around €75-90 depending on the independent and location etc.

Pads and discs are super handy to do.

The rear ones can be tricky without correct set of tools, though.

In fairness I always let the garage do it. Just did front ones at my regular garage and paid 220 in total, 60 was labour cost.

Depending on garage could be anywhere between 60-100.

I'm getting the same job done on my car in the next week or so and would be expecting to pay no more than €100.

We would very rarely accept parts from a customer, what if they are wrong? Who pays when the car has to be put back together or is holding up a lift?

A tip to find a good mechanic is to ask what they use to lubricate slide pins, if they say silicone grease etc then you are onto a winner. Grease or worse copper grease and run a mile.
