Temperature for glow worm 25s

    Hi all

    Just wondering what the ideal temp on my boiler should be. It was installed about a month ago. It's at around 60 degrees now. Is that right? What the are the pros and cons of having it higher or lower?

    Any help appreciated thanks

    For a heating system with a hot water cylinder 65c would be the usual setting because the cylinder must be heated to 60c, setting it to 65c allows for any heat loss between the boiler and the cylinder.

    This is not the case for a combi boiler which can be set to lower heating temperatures.

    If you run your boiler at higher temperatures it will achieving the temperature set on the room thermostat in its fastest possible time but your less likely to get the benefits of a condensing boiler.

    If you run the boiler at lower temperatures it should still achieve the room temperature required by the room thermostat (as long as it’s not to low) but it will take longer, you will be getting the full benefits of your condescending boiler which works best at lower temperatures
