Current status of driving tests

    Hi,

I am a bit confused on the status of driving tests at the moment. I have a driving test booked for the second of February.

It currently says on the RSA website As a result of Covid-19 measures, our capacity to undertake driving tests, at pre-Covid 19 levels, has reduced.
Given the demand for driving tests and in the interests of fairness, for the foreseeable future we are prioritising customers in order of application date as well as applications from essential workers.

Does this mean it is not just essential workers only?

Also looking at the criteria of an essential worker, it may be a grey area for myself as I work on the administration side for a company directly providing essential services, but my services are needed by those people directly involved to do their jobs.

Any help and clarification would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,
    Sarah.

Tests are taking place, I had mine the other day. No questions asked about profession, just go with your conscience.

If you work for a company that is deemed to be providing an essential service, you’re an essential worker
