Licked tooth during filling, is it a problem?

During getting a filling I touched my tongue to the area and it began to sting. I didn't say anything at the time, but I am now worried that I have either removed some of the adhesive and it will fall out, or the acid gel and it now has bacteria trapped inside.

What is it likely to have been that my tongue touched and what would the consequences be?

To be honest its probably fine. Patient do it all the time without knowing. The sting is the acid etch gel, harmless enough.
